TMJ Problems"," TMJ stands for temporo-mandibular joint.

Problems can also be caused by dentists.
The doctor will stand in front of the patient and ask them to slowly open and close their jaw.
If the joint is fine, it will open and close smoothly.

There are many problems that can arise from TMJ issues.
There can also be clicking or grating as the jaw opens and closes.
If the TMJ is in fact involved, opening the jaw all of the way will get rid of the symptoms.
The jaw usually goes anterior and inferior.

The doctor can adjust the TMJ.
If the patient has had TMJ issues chronically for a while, it is important that they be careful not to yawn, yell or eat foods that are extra chewy or hard.
